Just brought home a new 46r450a from the Sony store. Set it up, turned it on and 30% of the screen has this banding effect in the attached photos. Is this something that might go away? Is very distracting. Thanks for any feedback/info.

Looks like what happens when you press your finger too hard against the screen.


You could try unscrewing the bolts on that side to relive pressure or otherwise have Sony store pick up & replace the TV because that is broken!

There are only a few screws and none on the side. I'll have to call sony tomorrow. What a pain, drive across the city to get this. Last one in the city so no idea what they will do to replace it. Thanks for the suggestion.
