New Sony NC80V/B - picture jumps

When I played a DVD in this brand new player and watched the main menu play back, the picture jumped up and down. Maybe only an inch or two, but certainly it isn't watchable. It only does it with a few DVD's but my old Toshiba never did this. I am watching on my X1 PJ and the Sony player is in progressive mode.


Any idea if this could be a defective unit and I should just get a new one? Maybe there is a compatibility issue with this player and my projector and I should switch brands? Maybe this is a known issue with some combinations of players and PJ/TV's?

Greg,

I bought the same player about 6 months ago and do not see the issue you are reporting. I would exchange the one you have and if that one is bad too then perhaps it is an issue with your x1 and that player. Why I really do not know but I would suspect you just got a bum player.
