Moved outa my homestate at long last and after getting the finances in order with my new job here in Seattle, I've finally gotten my dream gaming setup all done that a bachelor can be proud of. Been wanting something nice like this for years, its something i've worked hard on and waited for a long time. Yeah, its not as nice or elaborate as a lot of you AVS fanatics, but its a dream come true for a young bachelor like me.

Definitely digging the Star Wars paraphernalia. I almost missed the AT-AT to the right of the stand. I'm with Beast, list your components and be proud man, very solid setup. Do you have your eyes on any upgrades in the future?

Hey there, would you mind describing the gear we see in the picture (make, model, etc.)?

Oh yeah, forgot

Really the only thing I could really use is a new AVR with HDMI inputs so I can get proper freaking decoding of audio for Blu Ray playback, the optical or Digital from Sony/Panasonic players just doesn't come out right, I can never get balance to be good without cranking up the volume during speech parts and then getting my ears blasted off at next action scene.

So then a matter of deciding weather to get a 2014 model of Sony's Blu Ray players or Panasonics for non 3D playing

The volume issue you speak of is a common problem. I am not sure using HDMI will fix it.

have you enabled dynamic range compression / nightmode on your receiver or playback device?

The Blu-ray audio mixing itself is why you might hear speech at a normal volume, while explosions are super loud - good for the movie theater, but not necessarily for home listening.

No idea if my AVR has that, nightmode I almost never use, no bass = no fun

Shouldn't the TV screen shot be from a Star Wars movie? Nice gear and congrats
