I need to purchase a new sub. Room 15x14. 85% use will be for movies and gaming. Budget around 1000$. Should I buy the sub matched with the speakers I am looking at, or go with a seperate sub? I am looking at the Monitor Audio gold series, B&W 700 series, PSB Imagine 5.1 speakers.

Your subwoofer doesn't have to be the same brand as your speakers.
