I am in the market for a new subwoofer. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should get between the $500 to $1000 price range. I listen to music as well as movies. I am currently looking at HSU, M&K, B&W, and Rotel. Let me know.
All the brands you listed make good subs. I think the B&W subs are overpriced for their performance and would eliminate them. I would also add SVS to the list. In the price range you're looking at I think HSU or SVS will give you the best bang for the buck. HSU has the VTF-3 and one or two cylinder subs in your range and SVS has about 7 subs in that price range. All are good it just depends on what will best fit your needs.
Does it matter to you if the sub is a cube or cylinder? That could be one point to begin narrowing down the options.
