Adding some information on Tapped horns - this is also in the main post now:

I'm interested in building a Tapped Horn - Where to start?

Download the Hornresp software here .

Check out this great tutorial using hornresp from lilmike.

More tutorial/information on starting with hornresp here .

*BTW - The first post is getting massive. I may work on doing some indexing/providing 'quicklinks' to the popular topics for the lazy like myself.

Alternatively I could start a new thread and break the information into several posts, with one main post with links to the topics. Thoughts?

Guys - for anyone in the market for a quality track saw setup, eurekazone has been selling some great products at huge discounts on ebay. Check out seller eurekazone. I'd reccomend the 54" or 108" kits (for ripping a full sheet) as well as the square/repeater combo.

For more information on their products, check out their website and forum:
http://www.eurekazone.com/Default.asp
I'll check it out
Thanks

Hello there :) Yesterday i posted a thread because i need help recognizing old RCF drivers from 1997. I have and entire club PA system with the amps, crossover, EQ , mixer and all the speakers. All the equipment is from an Italian company called peecker sound. But they seem to be using RCF drivers in their speakers. I'm not planning to be selling this but i want the datasheets for the drivers. I already realised that the 12 inch driver in my mid-hii speaker is an RCF L12-544K but i still have questions about that and i need help with the 18 woofers. Someone told me that you guys in the DIY subforum have a lot of knowledge about this so can you please read my subject :)

Should FAQ on building curved speakers be put here?
I'm shortly going to build (5) Fusion-8 speakers via the DIY soundgroup., http://www.diysoundgroup.com/waveguide-speaker-kits/fusion-8.html
(2) will be full kits and basically I assemble, however the (3) MTM's ; (2) Mains and (1) center I'd like to do curved boxes.

Doing a search on "curved" in our DIY forum showed 23 threads with that in the title.
http://www.avsforum.com/forum/search.php?searchid=5344273

As I read thru them and find "best practices" that could help others get up to speed faster if summarized in 1 place.....guess I've tasked myself with doing that, so as I read them I'll update this post with a few links to some best practice posts that I read and feel help give me direction.
Then Gorilla can add that where he deems best.

Thanks Tux! One of these days you and I will have to work together on flushing out some FAQs/starters on crossover design.

This is the one thing keeping me from diy

ill see if I can get something written up about finishing wood using a stain. seem to get lots of questions about that
That will be timely for me, as I'm going to stain baltic birch for my fusion-8's.

Items to add to sticky;

O-ring for iNukes to hide the orange glow (took me a while to find this post):
