I have a ReplayTV 3060 and have been a some questions that may be obvious to most but here goes:

1) How do I force a telephone connection to update my program listings (I have had a couple of connection failures)? I have tried changing the access phone number which did not cause a connection and finally changed the antenna input to cable then back again - would like a more straight forward way.

2) How do I jump directly to live TV from viewing a record show? I can see the need to select stop but the step where you have to also choose the channel guide first seems a little cumbersome.

3) Is it just me or is my replay slow in responding to my remote control commands?

Thanks

1) 243-Zones, then pick "net connect". Entering and accepting the phone settings used to work in 2.1 but doesn't in 3.0.

2) You can also hit "input" until you make your way back to the tuner. I agree that a single button should return you to live TV (you could call it "return to live", hypothetically) but it's not like theres any buffered live TV to go to at that point since Replay doesnt' buffer live TV when a recording is playing.

3) Some are slow. I often find navigating around the Replay Guide to be horribly slow, and response to ff/rew can be sluggish especially in the live buffer.

Also, check out the Advanced FAQ at www.replaytvfaq.com . There's a link to it at the top of the page.

Additionally, if you are watching a recorded program or just finished watching a recorded program, you can push Channel Up or Channel Down and it will return to live tv on the last live channel you were watching.

Kinda related, just be aware that if you are watching a live TV show, pause it, go watch a recorded show, then jump back to the live show, your pause buffer will be dumpped and you will resume live TV at the "live" point.
