I just installed a Nuvo home audio distribution system that has an XM tuner. I need to wire up the XM antenna. I have the small antenna that it came with but also have an existing Dish Network satellite dish that I do not use at all. Can I use the Dish satellite as an XM antenna? It is much bigger than the tiny XM "carrot stick" antenna that the Nuvo came with.

Thanks

The short answer is... no.

They use an active antenna, so you probably can't even substitute some other XM antenna unless it's designed to work with their system. Even if their XM antenna wasn't active, the Dish is, so it still wouldn't work.

Sorry.
