All,
Please help ease my confusion. If I want to setup my HTPC to output sound through digital connections with my DD capable receiver, what sound card is required? If the sound is just passed through from the DVD player can a sound card add or take away from the experience? What
about gaming? Does the output from the games go out PCM always, except for if it is DD capable?
What are the reasons for wanting an M-AUDIO sound card? Could I just use a cheapie if I only want to decode the sound in my receiver?
