I've been reading this board for about a month now, but I'm still very confused. I never thought about building an HTPC until I learned about the accessDTV card and became intrigued.


Is there a FAQ somewhere that can help me out?


My main quesitions are:

How do I control the PC remotely? (I've already got a Pronto, so that should help)

How does the PC connect to my TV (Toshiba TW40X18)

What is Dscaler?

What is Overlay?

And many more...


I guess I really only need to have an HTPC for the accessDTV card. Can I do this easily?

___First off, welcome to the forums. Genixia has already posted a great link for you to follow in the duplicate thread you created so if you wouldn’t mind deleting this one, I would greatly appreciate it. It will help keep the forum somewhat clean for future contributors/readers.


___This should help you with duplicate posts in the future … You can delete this thread by clicking on the Edit button on the top right of your first post. In the edit screens, check off the delete box on the left, and hit the Delete button on the right. This thread and all the dialog in it will simply disappear. You can only delete the posts or threads that you have created.
