my circuit city is having Samsung 2775HF sale for 499.99(from 699.99)

So i was wondering if i can get this and antena to get local HD signals. Also is this HDTV good? I saw some bad post about samsung hdtvs.

Samsung makes a pretty good TV. A few of the earlier HDTV’s seemed to have a lot of geometry issues, but the newer ones are better.


We can’t recommend any kind of antenna if you don’t tell us what kind of house you live in and whether you want an indoor or an outdoor antenna. Also, we need to know how far you are from the transmitters in your area. You can go to www.antennaweb.org to find that out.


But before you do this, you must know that the TXN2775HF TV is “HDTV Readyâ€, meaning it is capable of displaying HD images, but it can’t do that out of the box. You must buy a separate tuner called a set-top box. That will cost you another $250-$300.
