I am pretty sure this is a pretty easy one. I have my HTPC hooked up to my Plasma TV. I go to play a DVD and it says you do not have a DVD Decoder. What do I need to make this work. The system in running Win2k. Thanks.
You need to buy a piece of software that plugs into the os to decode
DVD's. The decoder does not come for free with the os. The decoder software usually comes for free with your video card. if you can't find the video card install disks you can third party dvd software: WinDVD, PowerDvd, etc. Others can comment on which software is best.
In fact, I'd really like to know what others think is the best DVD decoder out there?
