Newbie question-Is scaler best way to achieve PQ?
So as a newbie my question is probably a simple one. I just got a HDTV so is it in my best interest to get an upconverting processor to get the best PQ out of dvd's, sd tv, etc.
I didn't want to purchase all new equipment so this seems to be the most economical approach.

It's always good to insure you have calibrated your display before looking for external PQ help. Too many folks blame or are disappointed with external components when in fact, it is their display causing the problem.
