Hello all,

I'm fairly new to all this, and am getting ready to upgrade my system. I currently have a Toshiba 43H70 with DirecTv and cable, and am ready to make the jump into HDTV. I am planning on keeping DirecTv so I can keep Sunday ticket.

Here is what I was planning on using - the only question mark in the plan is the antenna. If anyone can steer me in the right direction for my area in terms of an antenna, I would appreciate any help. I've searched through some of the posts here, but couldn't come to a conclusion.

-Sony SAN-24MD1 24x18 dish for DirecTv

-Sony SAT-HD100 Set Top Box

-antenna for local OTA standard and HDTV signals??

I want to make sure the antenna I add to this system is a good one, and if possible can connect using a di-plexer (??) so that only one cable goes into the house from the roof for both the dish and the antenna. Can this be done? Is it a good idea or a bad idea? I would like to keep cost low, but quality high - I'm already spending too much money on the dish and receiver...

Any comments will be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks.

Marc
