Hello, how is everyone I have a huge qestion on HDTV's. I am about to make my first step into it, mostly for gaming and watching dvd's, and I was told to come here to get a straight answer.


I've had my eye on several tv's:

Samsung 30" Widescreen HDTV Monitor-Brand/Model: SAM TXN3075WHF.

Panasonic 32" HDTV Monitor-Brand/Model: PAN CT32HXC43.

Philips 30" Flat-Tube Widescreen HDTV Monitor with Active Control - Model: 30PW850H.

Samsung 32" DynaFlat HDTV Monitor with Light-Touch Front-Panel Controls - Model: TXN3271HF.


I've hoping someone here has used, or has or knows something about these units. My major concerns are can these take a 720P signal and upconvert or does it downconvert to 480p? I only have a 800-1000 budget so, I want to be sure, or I'll just blow my money on a Sony 43 Inch Wega.

However, for your price range, you may want to give CRT front projection some time to see if it's right for you. In which case, this is the right forum for finding that information. Either way, welcome to AVS!
