I was looking at some HD stills from the movie and even if they destroy childhood memories and ruin the characters, the effects will be stupendous. I know they won't but it would be very funny if they kept the voices from the 80s cartoon.

Megatron isn't a gun! That, in itself, is incredibly lame. That was coolest thing about the original transformer toy, you could play with it and potentially commit crime. Of course, schoolkids didn't gun each other down so much back then.
The Autobots look fairly similar. The original designs for the Decepticons were much better. Starscream looks a bit 'fat' now. I would love it if he was still whiny-voiced.

I think it's just you, it's probably because his voice reminds you of one of your old teachers

Ever since I saw this on my PS3 a few months back, I've been wanting to see it. You never know with Michael Bay, the plot/storyline could turn the flick into a turd, but if it's half decent, the wife may let me buy it because it has her boy-toy Josh Duhamel in it. We both win!
