Take a look at the D* program guide today; it says NFL game of the week on Ch 98 at 9pm eastern. That's an HD channel.... are we getting GOTW in HD again?

I think it was on channel 90 week 2, but it's been on 98 the past three weeks. Both Wednesday and Thursday nights, and it generally hasn't shown up in program guides until the night/morning before the presentation.


Season Pass on HD-TiVo has worked for me the past two weeks, so I'm hopeful it's "stable" on channel 98.

I have a Tivo SP for both 90 and 98, just to be sure.

After seeing the games in HD, and then the highlights on NFL Primetime in HD, this GOTW doesn't get my attention from how soft it looks.

Looks REALLY soft compared to what we see on Sundays...disappointing.

Most of the footage is from film not hd video.


Although you are right, the incredible closeups and angles combined with the sideline yelling and screaming more than make up for it. 16x9 on my big screen with great sound/music, this show ROCKS!

Film's color is different, contrast is different, frame rate is different, the lens capturing the image is different. All of these factors and more make it look and feel more like a movie experience.


Soft or not, film is BEAUTIFUL!
