The nicest thing about the preseason replays is seeing the graphics packages from the various local affiliate sources. Many of them are refreshingly minimal. Of course, as a replay on NFLN, you have the NFLN ticker at the bottom - but it's easy to see how clean the original broadcast must have been for the local audience.

Wish the national networks would take their cue from the local affiliates.

[EDIT] Also have to add the extra "face" time the cheerleaders get is another pleasant difference.

The odd thing is that the "NFLN ticker" info is typically out of date.

You would think that if they were willing to bother us by taking part of the picture away for a contantly moving (distracting to most/some) ticker - it would be current !

Favorite so far is from the Seahawks coverage, using the FSN graphics. Least favorite was the Bills with the Fox-style solid gray bar with shading above it.

Another one worth mentioning was KTVT's for the Cowboys. The graphics were clearly 4:3 SD stretched to 16:9 and overlaid on the widescreen SD video. The graphics weren't 4:3 safe so all the SD viewers on cable and converter boxes set for centercut were treated to down but not distance, and various other missing elements. Don't know if NFLN picked up KTVT's or KICU's coverage, but what we saw locally was terrible.

Not to mention the announcing was just the radio simulcast.

The FSN graphics sound like they will be the Fox graphics this season.

Every game I've watched has had a current ticker from the NFL network with the exception of the game that was originally televised by NFLN. Like the other night's game was from late last week, but the ticker was talking about Favre's actions in camp.
