The tweeter should be on the inside (if the speakers are placed vertically) as the dispersion of the tweeter is asymmetric and toward the tweeter. For the center channel, the tweeter should be up if below the screen and down if above the screen.

NHT L5: which side goes towards center?
I'm installing NHT L5's for front L/C/R speakers around my wall mounted TV. Can anyone tell me whether the tweeter or mid-range should be mounted towards the inside of this arrangement?
