1098 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  iwanrs
Can anybody confirm:

1. Can USA version of Nintendo Wii accept 220 Volt power source (the adapter)?

2. Can USA Wii play any games from Asia, eg. Hongkong, Singapore (except Japan)?

THANKS

No and no. Like all consoles I think, its limited to the region
Look on the power adapter. There will be a voltage and frequency listing for it.

The problem is I have not that Wii in hand yet.

I am planning to buy from US online shop/ebay.

Can some one who has this take a quick look about the power rating at adapter's label?

Thanks

The Wii adapter is a one piece unit, so odds are the US consoles will only list US voltages. You may be able to buy a replacement 220v adapter from Nintendo, but depending on the console's internals, you could end up frying the thing.
I just checked my power adapter and its 120v/60hz only on the input.
