It seems that every single 32" or 37" Plasma display I have seen is HDTV.

Is there a reason manufacturers are not putting out EDTV Plasma displays? I would think with the smaller screen size, the quality would be even better then the 42" models.

Prices would also have to be considerably low. You can get a Sanyo 32" HDTV Plasma for $2,346.95 from Dell...I would think an EDTV would be ~$1600.

Not mine. I have a Panasonic 37", its last year's model (5th generation) but its still available as far as I know. I though that this years model (6th gen) was not availabe in 37" yet, but B&H wants to sell me one for $350 less than a 5th gen. (That's under $3k, but I'm not allowed to quote a price am I?) Its $250 less than the 42".

Wow! Those prices make the price I payed last year look excessive.

What's going on with that?
How about the TH-37PW5, that was last year's model. The TH-37PWD6 is cheaper than that and cheaper than the 42".

The PWD5 was $2525 with shipping.

I don't know if plasma extreme has many left, but the price for this tv seemed like a great deal, compared to all the other prices I saw for plasmas. With free shipping I saved an additional $170.

The new 37" 6UY will probably be close to that same price with the option of adding a DVI input.

The Sanyo 32" is, I think, the plasma with the lowest wholesale price on the market.

Try Visual Apex for the Panasonic 37PWD6UY. I corresponded with them last week and it was in stock then. Price is listed on the web site.
