Hey guys Im posting this for a friend. My setup works MINT :p.

Anyways, he had it video/audio working with his plasma through the HDMI cable, but is in the process of moving. He now has the Ps3 connected to a crappy tube TV through the supplied PS3 analog cables....he has video but no sound at all.

He has tried pretty much everything that I could think of including the following:

- tried another PS3 system on same, it works. (ruling out TV issue)

- ruled out a bad cable

He says he tried adjusting all settings etc. Does anyone else have any other thoughts on this or ever ran across anything like this?

Thanks

Have the PS3 on standby (red light); hold the power button for about 5 seconds until you hear 3 or so beeps. It will then take you back through the setup process.

It's likely that the PS3 is still just set up to play audio via HDMI.

Sooooo...that's NOT the issue then? Hrmmm...how did he connect the RCA cables...to his TV or a receiver? Is the reciever on the correct input? Are we certain that his PS3 is set to output audio over RCA?
