I am using AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 to copy DVDs to my hard drive. I am able to adjust the quality to 100% on the Clone DVD scale . According to slyfox there is still some compresssion. Is there a way to copy movie DVDs to a hard drive without compression? I don't care about the space requirements.

Just rip it with AnyDVD.

dvdFab will do it too. I think they still have a free version.

They do... although, there are some limitations with the free version... I've used it for years... but think I'm moving to invest in anydvd.

^ I just bought anydvd, really the only way to go for blurays. now is a great time to buy it, they are having a 20% off sale until saturday. Just bought my lifetime license a few days back.

So even though Clone DVD does compress the video it is the best program to use? There is no way to copy the DVD without some compression?

Again, just rip it with AnyDVD. It just takes every file from the disk and puts it on your HDD.

Just rip it to a folder or to an iso with anydvd. Just right click the icon in the taskbar and select rip to folder or rip to icon.
