When use a standard VGA cable it fleaks the monitor... it rolls a line from up to down of the screen like a static distortion, no matter what kind of cable you use...

You need to provide more info on your setup for better advise.

For now, read the manual on PC connectivity.

If you are trying to pixel map through HDMI, it will not work unless your LCD's native resolution is 1280x720. You will have to use VGA for something like 1366x768. More info please....

Does HDMI work only with 1280 x 720 & 1920 x 1080??

I use DVI to DVI between my MC & LCD tv (1280 by 768) and it works very nicely.

Just set the PC res to the native res of the TV..

DVI>DVI is not the same as DVI>HDMI.

HDMI will only accept 480p/i, 720p and 1080i.

This is a property of the HDMI implementation, not the spec. There are some displays which will accept other resolutions over HDMI, but for most displays, when they say HDMI, they mean 480p/720p/1080i. 480i over HDMI, some will, some won't.
this is my setup:

Sony Bravia 26"

Windows XP x64

Nvidia GFORCE 6800GT with the latest driver

P4 with all the powers for gaming...
