For us A1 users sticking with this machine, is it that difficult for toshiba to offer us firmware upgrade to? Will we ever see an update again? With firmware out now for the A2/XA2 i feel left in the dark.

Toshiba has stated that they will be committed to keeping firmware updates for the A1/XA1. If you think about it, it only makes sense that they haven't issued one lately due to the focus they've given towards their 2nd gen models. Now that they are out, I would expect to hear some announcements soon.
