No Hd DVd on May 16th

To my knowledge there aren't any HD releases on 5/16. Universal has some better titles on 5/23 though to make up for it.

I wouldnt be surprised if something popped up like Goodfellas did for release today. We will probably know next week sometime.

Warner announced titles for this week as late as last week. I guess we'll know if there are going to be titles released on 5/16 by no later than 5/9. Hoping Harry Potter is in that batch.

RockStrongo & bferr1 have a point. Warner announced GoodFellas and Swordfish only 7 days before their street so certainly they could do this again.

Of course, these surprise releases make it difficult for places like Best Buy to include them in their sales brochures...

Once more players become available, I'd expect to see a repromote of it and all currently available titles in upcoming weeks. Maybe even a sale price, to boot. A chance to catch up with what's come out already and more synchronization and coordination going forward.

I would be Highly surprised if some titles arent announced by WB for the last two weeks of May. They want to get more titles out there.

I made a note a while back that Charlie and the Chocolate Company would be released in HD-DVD on May 16th. Is that OBE?

Not that it's 100% accurate, but Best Buy's inventory system is showing 5/16 for both The Matrix and Batman Begins now. Before it was showing 4/25 for Matrix and 5/2 for Batman.


It would be rad if that happened.
