No LFE when using DTS

I am using a Pannasonic A320 which decodes both dolby digital and DTS. When setting the level of each channel using Ultimate DVD Platnum disc I noticed that I get nothing from the LFE channel when using DTS but all other speakers are fine. The LFE works OK when I choose Dolby Digital. Any ideas? Thanks
