I hear ya but theres always going to be something new coming out. If you go to sell your tv every time a new model comes out you'll never be happy.

I have a Panasonic 42S1. It's currently in a Small college Bedroom. I don't have money to buy another set so what i would do is sell it and try to save some for a potential 13G Panasonic or New Samsung.
The PQ is amazing on the S1, the blacks aren't Kuro like but for the price and not being a Kuro i am more than satisfied. I just hate buying something then a new thing comes out

My plan was to Finish College (about 1.5years to go) then i can Move out shortly after and move up to a 50" if not 60" Plasma. That should be around the time of the 14-15G Panasonics which should alteast match the latest Kuro!
