Hi,

I'm new to htpc and I just built the following set-up:

- Asus P5B Deluxe / Wifi

- Intel Core 2 Duo E6600

- Gigabyte GeForce 8500 GT

- ATI TV Wonder 650 Theater

- Windows Vista Home Premium

- PowerDVD Ultra

- Latest drivers from ATI and Nvidia

And I use my Panasonic Plasma TH42PX60U connected with HDMI for display

From Media Center, I can get, watch and record HD programs, but whenever, I change the channels, I get a black screen. I still have the sound, but no picture.

What should I be looking at to troubleshoot this?

I tried connecting with a component cable, so it doesn't look like an hdcp imcompatibility.

Watching DVD or Blu-Ray is working fine.

How can I verify that the ATI tuner is working correctly?

Thanks!

It sounds like a video overlay problem. Try upgrading the video card drivers. As biker19 mentioned, it sounds like the tuner is not at fault here.

Thanks for the help.

I looked into overlay but didn't find anything useful.

I then went thru the display setting, and I don't know what I changed exactly, but everything seems fine now.

Thanks again!
