No Reviews of SiN Episodes?

I didn't get a chance to play last night, but I'm shocked there are no reviews or even mentions of this game anywhere. It was unlocked yesterday, right? I will play tonight and give impressions.

It was supposed to unlock today at 10 am, but maybe they mean Pacific Time. I'm eagerly waiting to play this game.
So I didn't miss out last night. Good. It still doesn't explain why they'd had gold code for almost a month and there are no reviews for it.
Since this is such a hot topic, I'll give my impressions. As I thought, it feels like playing a mission pack for Half Life 2. In fact, the villains feel a lot like the Combine and the girl feels a lot like Alyx. But I'm having fun, it's just not revolutionary. Good old school fun. With bouncing boobies and the F word.
did you get it off steam?

I watched the wmv clip and the game looks pretty fun...
It's a good game and worth your money. Essentially it is Half-Life 2 with lots of T & A. Although the "artwork" for the female models is a little silly, the game has a beautiful Bladerunner environment.

I love the game. $20 for a nice Half Life 2 clone with something completely different works for me.
How big is it exactly (how long will it take to play)? On par with HL2 or a smaller subset sorta thing?

very nice may have to buy this on Steam tonight. Like the last poster inquired I'd like to know aproximatley how big(long) the game is.
I hear 6 hours but many beat it in 3-4. So brace yourself, myself I usually go slow with games.
6 hours isnt bad considering the price tag I suppose. Can buy it from Ebgames for $17.99
Wow, there are really NO reviews for this game out yet. I will post my updated impressions when I beat it, if anyone even cares.
The game got a review here . I personally found the game to be fun while it lasted. A lot of people are apparently reporting freezes and other glitches, but the game didn't freeze on me once. I did however get annoyed by the sound loops that occurred when loading new areas. I remember the same happening on the original SiN when played on hardware of the time.
I get the same exact sound looping in Half Life 2 so that didn't bother me. Thanks for the link to the review, the only other one I had found was sparse and not worth linking to.
How in the blue hell does this game not have more professional reviews by now?!
It seems pretty good. I can review this game in one sentence:

SiN Episode Emergence is Half-Life 2 with different characters and worse textures.

I can say that the game-play is nice and the game is fun. I'll also be playing HL2-Ep I in a few weeks too.

They forgot to budget money for paying off reviewers? :p

That about sums it up.

I also am eagerly looking forward to HL2- Episode 1.

Why no reviews... First I frequent a game board and after a while I was riding all the previews of this game. It was being previewed a metric ton and for just an episode it seemed to have more hype then just about any game I ever seen. I felt the previews would last longer then the game itself. Then it was released and there was zero buzz, zero!

Possible Issue: It was released during E3, it went so under the rug and well even this week people are just getting back and into their routines again, still doing follow up on E3. It's like Sin 2 was forgotten. I chuckle a bit at that because of it's over the top hype it received before hand. So when I get my game company I have marked it down, do not release a game in the vicinity of E3, it gets forgotten.

Question: One thing I don't like about most if not all game sites I have seen is that they hype the **** out of games beforehand and once they are released, you get the canned reviews (you can't really trust any way) and then it's over for that game.

Those sites that post news etc. never seem to give post game hype were the community can chit-chat over, share experiences. I know there are the specific game forums that can do that, but the admins of a game site are like conductors, they can dictate the content and the discussions. An all-around game site has an advantage in that they talk a bit about everything and not just a singular product like a dedicated forum, it rounds the reader out better about all products. I always felt this was an area sites could expand on to make things more interesting instead of hype article 26 for an upcoming game. Just go figure it would be the time the asylum can talk about a game more factually, since at this point we've actually had the opportunity to play it. Oh well.
