I have nVideo GeForce 210 and connected it to a new TV via HDMI. It works well but if I wake up my PC from standby while watching other inputs, e.g. OTA and then switch to the HDMI input of the PC, there is no signal.

I have seen problems reported for ATI cards. But did not know it applies to nVidia as well. I have to put the PC back to sleep and then wake up again. I downloaded the video driver (Vista-32) from nVidia 2 weeks ago. Is there a way to force the video card to output 1080p at all time even if the HDMI is not connected?

The solution for me was to use another HDMI port on my TV, HDMI 1 in my case. The problem was on HDMI 2.

I use ATI card, if that makes any difference.

I have the same problem. I just put my receiver on the HTPC's input before I awaken it.
