I am having a problem with my sub and I was hoping you guys could help. I have the following:


AVR Integra DTR 30.4

SUB 12" speakercraft


I noticed I no longer get any sound from my sub. I have it connected to the LFE on sub to the subwoofer port on AVR. I ran the sound setup on my AVR and also adjusted the front speakers from big to small. When I connect a Y cable into the sub and play music from my iPhone, the sound is very faint with the sub sound turned to max. Is this a bad sub? Anything I can check on the sub or AVR?

I also checked and the sub is enabled on AVR.

The amp on the sub has died. You might be able to find a replacement amp at Parts Express. I have used two PE plate amps. If the driver was also bad, you would not have had any sound from the IPhone at all.
