I know I'm bugging the hell out of some of, for which I apologize... but last night after messing around with some of things I've been learning here, I decided to give my "Digital VCR" a go. And low and behold it captures no sound... now since I'm at work this is driving me crazy but I'm sure that once I get some time to sit in front of the dang thing and think about it, I'll figure it out, but until then I'd love to have a couple leads to go on. I have no physical looping connections on the back of the box(i.e. Line Out on ATI to Line In on sound card - didn't think I'd need this), but I do have the ATI card going to my AUX (internally) on the sound card and it is defined as such because I do have sound while watching TV. Thanks.

Open the Windows Volume control panel get into advanced and "Record" settings and make sure the AUX is selected. Likely it's sitting with either MIC or LineIN checked.
