Hi

I have no problem recieving ATSC with OTA anttenna but....

When i hook up the cable straight to PC i get no sound.

I have the QTA antenna in input 1 (ATSC)( no problem here)

I have the cable in input 2 and checked it for cable. (no sound)

Right now i'm just using 2 pc speakers which work fine with the ATSC sound but nothing when i switch over to NTSC.

Still learning...

Thankyou kindly

Bluerain

BlueRain,

Did you post this in the Home Theater Computer forum? I know when I built my HTPC I had alot better luck in there with the computer questions for you. Hope that someone helps you out with an answer! Good Luck!!

Bluerain,

Do you have the speakers connected directly to the analog audio out of the HiPix daughter card or to the analog output of your sound card?

I have it connected to my sound card that's the way figure 6 shows it(instructions)

I'll try connecting it Expansion card.

Thanks so much Carl http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

PS: The picture (cable) looks bad , some almost look scrambled. Works fine on my TV,any suggestions for this?(pc cable pic)

Although I no longer have the HiPix, I can tell you that analog (NTSC) reception is not the strength of the card. In fact it is quite poor.

As to NTSC sound, that is only available (as I recall) from the analog outputs. You will get no cable (NTSC) sound from the digital output.
