So Ive had this Mad Dog sound card for 2 years now that I havnt once until today really heard 5.1 through till today. While fiddling around with linux I realize my Xvid/ac3 videos sounded different. Better. To my surprise there was ALOT more separation in the movie.
So I booted back to windows and started to play around with the "Audio Deck" app provided with the drivers. SPDIF is enabled along with being set on 6 sprekers.
Then I go to the little config where you can test each speaker, I get nothing! I was shocked! PCM is fine but no ac3/DTS.
Please if theres anyone who can give me a clue so I dont just run out and buy a new card I would greatly appreciate it.
