Just set your effect key to control the aspect ratio. This is how I have mine set up, as do many other X1 owners.


The effect key is programmable via the on screen menus, I can't remember exactly where, but its easy to find.


Regarding the remote signal, mine bounces off my screen fine. Sometimes though for no apparent reason it goes into a mode where it just won't respond unless I face the remote directly at the projector.

I also point at the screen.

It seem to work less with a dark screen.

But I also have random times where I have to point at screen *shrug*

The only time I use my x1's remote is when powering on/off the pj and I just point it at the front of the pj.
