I have just completed setup of my receiver & speakers only to have my PS3 have an unusual problem. I currently have my PS3 hooked via HDMI in my office to a Vizio VO32L (full 1080p). It works great. Now that I have my home theatre equipment established, I attempted to move the PS3 to it as the blu-ray player. However, when I attempt to connect it with a new HDMI cable from Monoprice, the TV states "Plasma does not support this display". I have tried to connect to the TV direct and via the receiver. I can get the start up sound over the digital audio cable just no picture. I have read the PS3 setup posts and believe that I have everything setup correct in the PS3. My equipment is as follows:

TV - Pioneer PDP-4340HD (one of the first with HDMI so I'm tempted to blame it; only handles 1080i)

Receiver - Yamaha RX-V765 (passes 1080i from up-converting DVD player just fine)

Am I hosed with my current TV? Is there a setting in the receiver I have overlooked that could help?
