I was looking at subs (mostly f12) but read that is has a "bash designed amp" not a "bash amp", then they mention its a "big difference."

So what is a bash amp and a bash designed amp? I have searched around and it seems a bash amp is more efficient?

If it's BASH designed then it's a BASH amp. They are well known for making quality plate amps. ALot of DIY'ers use BASH amps in our builds as they are efficient, high quality and run very cool. I'm using a 500w BASH amp in my sub right now, the driver can handle 1000w but the 500w amp pushes it just fine and never gets past the 'barely warm to the touch' stage.

They aren't the end-all-be-all of amps, just a good high-quality plate amp from a reputable company. You basically never hear of someone getting a faulty BASH plate amp...and that can't be said about many other manufacturers. I suppose it's why they are so widely used by sub makers.

This is a quote from the o Audio site:

"BASH® is a patented technology that mates a tracking power supply to a Class AB output stage to deliver efficiency that is comparable to Class D

digital amplifiers, but with the fidelity associated with Class AB amplifiers."
