Noob Problem: MPC not using ffdshow

Hi, I've been trying to follow the FFDShow Walkthrough, but whenever I open an XviD/DivX file with MPC, it doesn't use FFDShow. My computer is rather slow so I would like to have it set up so that I use my nVidia Geforce 6600GT for DVD's using the PureVideo decoder, and using the "Basic" configuration for everything else. Right now, my WMP11 uses Purevideo and FFDShow Audio decoders for DVDs, which is what I want. However, when I open an XviD file with MPC, i see the following under Play --> Filters:

- Reclock Audio Renderer

- Video Renderer

- MPEG-1 Audio Rendere

- AVI Decompressor (XVID)

- [path/filename]

I don't have any of the DivX or XviD codecs installed, other than ffdshow. I know i'm probably being real noob, but will someone be nice enough to help me out? I've followed the pictures in the Walkthrough, but it's not working for me.

==============================

Here's my configuration:

ffdshow video settings:

Codecs: raw video --> all supported

Resize: multiply by 2, no aspect correction

Queue output samples checked

Output: exactly like it shows in walkthrough picture

MPC settings:

External Filters (all set on prefer):

- ffdshow Audio Decoder

- Reclock Audio Renderer

- ffdshow Video Decoder
