I got my Panasonic 50" Plasma last Wednesday, to use the HD feature, I moved from Direct TV to VOOM. What a big mistake. Since the install on Saturday all I have heard from VOOM is nothing but lies about everything.
I am in Edison, NJ about 20 miles from NYC, if I go to antennaweb.org, I am suppose to get at least 10 channels. After the VOOM install of the free antenna all I am getting is 0.
When I placed my order with VOOM I was told that based on antennaweb, I will get 16 channels and VOOM will provide me with an antenna that can receive digital OTA channels. The install guy left me hanging with 0 local channels, when I called VOOM CSR read the standard company policy stating "VOOM does not charge you for local channels so they do not guarantee local channels" totally different than the sales guy. After complaining high enough VOOM fixed service call for me, I stayed home taking a day off and they never showed up, I was waiting home all day and no one showed up....
Well all I have is myself to blame for as two local providers of VOOM (I got their numbers from VOOM website) warned me against using VOOM as I will have problem with the local channels.
As far as the HD/SD service, their HD channels keep repeating B grade movies and other channels are totally non sense. I have to reboot by STB for at least 2 times a day as it gets hung.
