For the last few weeks I have not been receiving any signal for Transponder 8 on the 110 Satellite. I am using the Hughes E-86 box. I did try unplugging the box and letting it reset, but I still don't get the signal from that transponder. I checked the signals on my other sets and they seem to be getting the T-8 signal fine.

I suppose that means that it's either a bad cable or something is wrong with the E-86. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the early stages of E-86 failure. Double check it by hooking it up at a TV that can get 8 to be sure.

Thanks for your reply. Have you heard of something similar happening on the E-86?

They were built without fans to cut down noise but tend to get heat stroke as a result. It's a well documented problem. A small fan on top to keep things cool will do the trick but it really is best done before symptoms appear.
