I plan to use front floor to ceiling super chunk bass traps wraped in cloth Fidelio. This is not very breathable, but I already bought it.


Appreciate any input on if I can use not very brethable cloth for bass traps. I guess I can't use for absorbers.

don't you wonder about the guys putting paper, foil scrim or plastic on the face of their bass traps and need for fabric that is breathable?

If you want them to be bass traps, and don't need broadband absorption at the location of the trap, then non breathable is fine (or an additional reflective membrane like foil scrim or thin plastic); if you want broadband, then you need breathable.

Good to know that for bass traps, I can use any cloth. Is 4 mil plastic considered as reflective for high frequencies?
