Brand new Hitachi 51G500 2 days out the box and I am having an abnormal ghosting issue of sorts.

Firstly it is not your typical ghosting issue due to bad convergence.

The ghosting occurs on transitions areas from bright-white to a dark color. This generates a green ghost over the dark color at least 1/4 to 1/2 inch in size. This only occurs like I mentioned in bright-white areas of a certain size. It is almost as though the signal is being overdriven and is not able to return to zero when the white area stops as the beam scans from left to right across the TV. I have tried adjusting both the contrast and the brightness way down but it is still there.

The 51G500 is connected to a Samsung T160 via DVI and S-Video. The ghosting only occurs on the DVI connection. I have to go and purchase component cables to see if it is there on that connection.

Any ideas ??

Thanks in advance.
