Hi,

I will be moving to India soon and I am planning to take my Sony 34" XBR TV which can only play NTSC (Damn.. Why don't they make multi-format TV like in the rest of the world!). I also want to take my Replay 4080 with me.

Now, the problem is that both the TV and ReplayTV expect to receive NTSC signals. If I use a Samsung SV-5000W Worldwide Multisystem Converter VCR will it solve the problem?

Any idea how good the setup will be? I am hoping with this setup I will be able to feed PAL video input to the VCR which will then convert it into NTSC ouput to feed the ReplayTV and then I will use the NTSC out of the Replay to the Sony TV.

Does this sound feasible?

I have that Samsung VCR which I use to play VHS tapes that I might buy from England, and to make copies of home movies for my mother back there. It should work for your purposes.
