nVidia "Advance Timing" instructions?

164 Views 0 Replies 1 Participant Last post by  RacingManiac
As the be-all-end-all thread for HTPC+HDTV+Powerstrip thread is ATi Radeon specific, what about for GeForce? Now nVidia's driver comes with custom res and timing support, but without a clue as to how it works I still can't do a thing about it...

my original thread specified my problems:

I guess I should feel fortunete that I can quite easily make 1280x720 works with my PC, and with the nView I can adjust for the overscan issue. But it does not seem to apply within any other program even running at the same resolution(ie, Rainbow Six Raven Shield, 1280x720 is supported, but in game the overscan returns). So I am going to assume the same problem will happen if I somehow managed to make a resolution work in my windows, in game it might still have problem?
