Odd shading issue with Samsung HLS-5687w

Greeting all,


I purchased the Samsung HLS-5687W 1080p and am having an issue with the display. When I watch on widescreen, there seems to be approx. 3 inches on the right side which is shaded (for the lack of a better term). I can still see the image through the shade, and the rest of the image is just fine. The line separating the two views is distinct and has a violet hue to it and runs the vertical length of the screen. It’s kind of an eyesore if you know what I mean.


Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be? I just bought it a few months ago(July) so I’m pretty sure everything is under warranty. Thanks!
