A very odd sound issue just occured with my Insignia HDTV and I'm not sure how to fix it, or what might be the cause. I hope somebody here can help.
I've got the TV hooked up to a set top cable box, via HDMI, that provides programming. Tonight I hit the mute button on the TV remote during a commercial because I got a phone call. When I hit the mute button again, no sound. I tried also increasing or decreasing the volume and still, no sound. I tried turning off the TV and the set top cable box, and still no sound. However, I don't know if the HDTV is the problem because when I turn on my XBox 360 (hooked up via component cables) the sound is just fine.
What's the problem here? I don't think my HDMI port is dead or I'd have no video either.
