This is to thank all of the soldiers and their families for the sacrifices made so that I have the freedom to build my HT and live in a free society, We might not always agree with the Politics but We have to support our troops and the sacrifices made.

Don't even get me started on our "free society". I thank all of our people in the military and I am having a welcome home party for my step-son, who did two tours in Iraq as a navy core-man, this coming weekend. And while I will get rammed in the ground for what I personally believe, here goes a small part. most of the current generation of military poeple joined the military for the benefits only (G.I. bill for schooling, housing allowances, and future career training) they have been thrown into war by a socialistic government that will ruin all of America. OUR children will be fighting in another civil war to try and get back to "We the people" not "those who pay to run this country". The government needs to fear the people not the people fear the government. That's the problem with Americans, no one will stand together unless a few buildings fall. I guess it costs to much to drive to a rally to boycott a few gas stations and raise some eyebrows. It even costs more to send letters to my congressmen to "complain" about the gas situation. But like I said, this is MY personal opinion and I had no intentions of using this forum as a soapbox, sorry if I offended anyone. UNITED WE STAND.

Scott, politics have no place on this forum since not everyone agrees and some of the issues evoke a lot of emotion and passion. In fact, I disagree with practically everything you wrote, but this isn't the place.

Mods, please delete this thread.

Yes, Mods please delete this post, I was merely trying to pay my respects to my family members and all others who had served and given all, I did not mean to offend or start a riot or cause strife, my apologies to all who are offended.

I for one thank you for your post, I think you are right on the money. My dad served in the Navy after Korea and just before Vietnam so he was lucky to serve during peace time. I am very grateful for those men and women who have made the choice to serve our country for what ever their reason.

Just the other day I went to the store with my two young boys and there were a group of military guys (7 or 8 of them) leaving and I along with my boys went over to them to say "Thanks" to them. They were getting ready to ship off over seas. They were really appreciative of the gesture and it made a lasting impression on my boys too.

I think you were just expressing your thanks and not making a political statement, it is just a shame that we can't say thanks with out someone having a hissy! Sheesh!

Regards,
