JVC RS3000/NX9

INITIAL SETUP & RECOMMENDED SETTINGS:

PICTURE MODE and COLOR PROFILE:

SDR:

If you don't want to use the color filter --> PICTURE MODE: NATURAL (if out-of-the-box) or USER1 (if calibrating)

If you want to use the color filter --> PICTURE MODE: THX (if out-of-the-box) or PICTURE MODE: USER1 --> COLOR PROFILE: CUSTOM1 + Upload the attached custom gamut file (if calibrating)

HDR:

If you don't want to use the color filter --> PICTURE MODE: HDR10 --> COLOR PROFILE: HDR

If you want to use the color filter --> PICTURE MODE: HDR10 --> COLOR PROFILE: BT2020

NOTES:

(1) HDR10 PICTURE MODE will be switched to automatically by the projector in response to an HDR video signal

(2) You should achieve 100% coverage of the REC.709 color gamut that applies to SDR without the filter, so don't feel like you have to use it with SDR

CALIBRATED LIGHT OUTPUT:

• WITHOUT COLOR FILTER = 1900 LUMENS

• WITH COLOR FILTER = 1615 LUMENS

(Max Zoom | Throw Distance = 14' / 4.27m)

INPUT LAG MEASUREMENTS:

LOW LATENCY, eSHIFT 8K, and MOTION ENHANCE --> Turning these ON/OFF makes no difference regarding the measured INPUT LAG

4K UHD RESOLUTION:

• CMD OFF = 40 MS

• CMD ON = 100 MS

HD RESOLUTION:

• CMD OFF = 40 MS

• CMD ON = 100 MS

PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY SCREENSHOTS - MASCIOLA HDR10 PATTERNS:

ESHIFT 8K EVALUATION & PERFORMANCE:

A slight but definitely noticeable increase in fine detail, sharpness, and MTF performance! :)

Some content is more noticeable than other, wherein some is very subtle indeed but other content the difference can be quite pronounced!

Official JVC RS3000/NX9 & JVC RS2000/NX7/N7 Owners Thread

I find info in the dealers October webinar nicely done, visually speaks for itself.
Hopefully these answer multiple questions.
[edit Dec-29 7:25am est]
ARROW-AV added these to his post#2 after I posted here, you are welcome for using the visual idea, so put in spoiler tag

All model is the best.. when I had the rs400 I learned not only from the rs400 thread but I learned way more when I went into the 520 and 620 thread because it was way more active and yet they were still similar on some way..

I have no idea why everybody is "reserving" but I'm going to RESERVE one too just in case Oppo comes back and this thread becomes the reservation line for the New Oppo UDP-265 8K UHD++ Player with HDMI 3.5 and HDCP 6.2 :D

Yes, that is a fact, I know I do my part in that area. Nothing worse then seeing a picture 7 times.

I edited post#7 and put in spoiler tag .. thx, I originally took those smartphone screen shots of the webinar to keep handy the different models and specs for myself, glad others find them useful also.
fwiw, I will be a NX7 owner possibly Summer-2019, depends on the company bonus, till then my RS400 is doing the HT duties
Sidebar. I hardly use the traditional computer desktop forum , mostly only mobile via Tapatalk, it’s actually easier to embed photos .
