Let us know how they turn out. I always want to listen to the M2 speakers you have there. Are you planning to crossover your M2s down low and have the FM8s filling the 30, 40ish hz and below?
Depending on where you live, you can hear them! Run the M2's full range and blend the subs.

Agree that the bass is outstanding. A good movie to boost. Your setup looks very nice. Can't go wrong with the F18s and especially the stunning 77 Oled.

I haven't posted in awhile, I've been too busy enjoying my system. Imagine?

Last night I watched Greyhound on Apple TV+. I was blown away by the audio, especially the bass. Right from the start, you hear the front of the ship crash into a wave and it feels like you're there. Normally I watch at -20db, but I turned it up to -14db. You could hear the water surround you the entire movie and who doesn't love Tom Hanks? The F18s seemed perfectly adequate. Would I have been better off with dual FV15HP or FV18s? Probably, but I absolutely love the look of how well the F18s fit in my room visually and they have enough power to fit the curve I set in REW and ARC. Plus, I've been listening to music so frequently that I changed the damping to medium (14hz tune) and I am very very pleased with the bass response notwithstanding my room size (7000^3').

I don't remember if I posted an updating picture with my center channel in this forum, so I apologize if I'm posting in duplicate. Also, I don't remember if I posted this, but I was able to fit the boxes from the F18s in my attic. I ordered a 77" OLED, which I'm hoping to get delivered and installed in 2 weeks. I received my 12 panels from GIK Acoustics, but I haven't had the chance to hang them up yet. Once the TV and panels are hung, I'll re-run REW and ARC.
If you liked Greyhound, you're gonna love Midway

I enquired Rythmik about ordering two subwoofers overseas to Europe. I got a couple of reasonably fast responses first from Enrico and then from Brian. The consensus was that in my listening space and with my usage I would need two 18 inch subwoofers (CI -line, so drivers and amplifiers only).

I politely asked about the price of said subs and got no response for several days. I politely asked again after a couple more days and still haven't got a response.

Have this happened to anyone else? Is there something that I am missing here? How do you go about ordering the 18 inch versions of the drivers and amplifiers only?

Brian and Enrico have been really busy this past week. I would ping them again Monday morning.

Yeah baby! I finally discovered the recipe to get the FV-18's to work in my cavern! You have to embrace the blinking green light! I YAPO'd 1 to a -10dB. Then ran it to a -1dB in the AVR and played there for a bit. Then I added my desktop woofer the PA-150 to the mix to try and simulate another FV-18... (Ok I'm lazy and don't want to unbox the other FV-18 sitting in my garage since I was convinced they weren't enough). Ok, we might be onto something. Even at this level I had some blinking, minor at best. Well, tonight, since I need to poop or get off the pot so to speak, I figured I would wind it up per se. I took the AVR trim to +3dB, and added 3 clicks to the sub volume/gain. I went over to the poor PA-150 and wound him up to. He started at about 10:30 and ended up at 11:30. The FV is at about 2. Then I loaded Pandora and picked my Shaggy channel. Got some good bumping Reggae/rap type music going and l ran the AVR to -15dB. What is that? A jet flying low? No, maybe an earthquake? Sweet bus load of hookers! Its BASS!!! The coneage was moving in and out, significantly! Ok, Im not reviewing an adult movie here get your mind out of the gutter! Not excessively, but Houston, WE HAVE LIFT OFF! My wife likes to put stuff on flat surfaces and she had a whale tail from Maui ontop the PA-150 (yeah, the piano gloss left the building long ago, thanks honey...). It was walking across the top heading for the floor. Thank goodness we had a talk about the FV so its still virgin oak finish. After about 4-5 bumping songs I go and do a touch test of the amp plates to see how we are doing. FV: barely warm. PA: fried eggs anyone? Lets turn the gain down a scooch why don't we. I open up the windows and go visit my wife, who is now hiding out on the deck (did I mention she is the anti-noise?), and we are sitting there listening to the music, its not ovebearing outside, but the deck is a thumping. I touch the wall and its moving. Well, it seems I didnt give the FV's enough credit.

The point of all of this is, dont go small guys. Im in 14,000 cubes give or take a bit. This is music however Im hopeful now with the added gain that HT will come to life. Hell I need to unbox the twin me thinks! 2-FV's and my tiny 15 might be almost respectable in this room! My real point is, I have to drive the bejeezus out of them in this size. Don't cut yourself short. I'm pretty much out of "turn it up". Don't be me. Get 2-FV25HP's once you cross 7-9K room cubes. More to come! Now what do I do with the 2-TV3612's I thought I needed.... Audition them I guess! HT/music audio is fun!

Looking at that older picture I'm now thinking i might haves been pushing 110. It was uncomfortable for sure.

Put away the music and put in some demo movie scenes. Guarantee they will make you grin. I recommend the first 10 minutes of Blade Runner 2049. Actually the whole movie is pretty solid, but that first bit is awesome.

Im running dual FV18’s in a similarly large space and for movies they are awesome, I run mine 8-10db hot. The movie above is guaranteed to make your house feel like it is going to come down.

Perfect. My mission this week is to wring them out a bit. I haven't watched any movies yet. I need to send the wife to the casino so I can break -40....

For music mine are pretty tame and just fill in the low end. A very natural sound which is the way I prefer for music.

Fire up a movie , prepare yourself. Lol

Dump pandora and try out Qobuz or tidal for cd quality sound. Pandora’s audio quality is “severely lacking” to put it politely.

Im surprised no one has commented on you running your AVR trim at 3+

^^ If i read your post correctly, you have 2fv18s and 2 TV3612s but only use 1 fv18 and a 12” Bic? What are you going to do or planning to do with the rest of the subs?

Ok, 2-FV18's yes. Only one out of the box however. 1-PA150 I'm using as a stunt double to see if its worth taking the other FV out of the box. 2-TV3612's probably being loaded up in the truck Monday in Ohio to begin heading to Washington. No Bic to be found. I initially wasn't sure the FV's were going to cut the cake so to speak until I really wound them up by taking the sub trim to +3dB and adding some more gain at the plate amps on the back of the subs. Im becoming a believer now after driving them a bit harder. My room is a tough customer after breaking REW out and taking some readings. No real good places to put them I have found so far. I did get some improvement going from the right side 1/4 sidewall placement to the left side 1/4 sidewall placement. Still some significant nulls however to deal with.
